Delivering Specialist Ship Building Services Since 1974
Welcome to McTays
McTays has a proud history going back to 1974 and during the last 40 years has built over 120 specialist ships and marine structures, establishing a reputation for building vessels that were first of their type, incorporating new and innovative designs.
The Company is currently developing a new range of vessels and are working with world renowned designers Robert Allan Design, Keltic Marine and our own group company Graham & Woolnough to deliver tugs with bollard pull ranging from 4 to 100 tonne.
With the increase in the Renewable Sector and especially Offshore Wind and Tidal we have a proven design for offshore crew transfer vessels, survey and workboat and with our geographical location we can provide a support facility for all West Coast activities in the Renewable Sector.
We have designs for offshore supply vessels for the Oil & Gas Sector and can provide a bespoke vessel to meet our client’s requirements. This is not to say that McTays has forgotten its roots and offers a diverse and comprehensive range of innovatively designed multifunctional vessels.
After recent investment the McTay slipway now accommodates vessels up to 90 metres length overall, up to 2000 tonne and with a draught not exceeding 4.7 metres.
We provide a full emergency repair service and planned maintenance repairs and surveys.
